BIR has pre-booked 350 rooms at the Fairmont Monte Carlo Hotel at preferential rates. These rates apply only if the booking is made through COLLOQUIUM and can only be guaranteed if the booking is made before 25^th March 2008. Please pay special attention to the reservation conditions hereafter.

We are well aware that some travel agencies or on-line booking services might offer cheaper rates than those negotiated by BIR. Please feel free to take advantage of these offers.

1. Hotel reservation conditions

Use the Registration and Hotel Reservation Form included in the programme and indicate, in order of preference, 3 hotels and the respective room category.
In order to guarantee your hotel reservation, a compulsory advance deposit equivalent of the price of 2 nights in the hotel and room category of your choice is requested.
Rooms will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis.
Any room reservation is binding for the hotel as well as for the guest for all nights reserved when confirmed by COLLOQUIUM.

Hotel Monte Carlo Bay ****

The Monte Carlo Bay Hotel boasts a 10 acre garden peninsula including the hotel, the resort activities and the Monte Carlo Sporting Club. Hotel Columbus (*** superior)

Columbus Hotel is located opposite the heliport and close to the « Place du Casino ». The elegant style of the hotel combines noble materials such as leather, marble, wood and stones to create a chic, seductive and comfortable atmosphere. The rooms offer breathtaking views on the Mediterranean sea, the Rock and parts of the Principality.

If you wish a room in another hotel, COLLOQUIUM will do its best to assist you.

3. Hotel room confirmation

COLLOQUIUM will send a letter or e-mail confirming hotel room reservation to each delegate after receipt of the registration and reservation form duly completed and a minimum deposit equivalent to the price of 2 nights in the hotel and room category allocated to you.
Each delegate must pay his bill directly to the hotel upon departure. The deposit will be credited towards each delegate’s account when checking-out.

In order to ensure a smooth check-in, please present your COLLOQUIUM confirmation to the front desk of the hotel.

4. On-line Registration

We do encourage you to use our online registration system, which should be operational as of 6^th February.

CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY

Cancellation of Hotel Reservation

Cancellation of the hotel room must be notified in writing (by e-mail or fax) to COLLOQUIUM.
If you cancel your hotel room after 20 April 2008 or if you do not show up on the announced date of arrival you will be charged the equivalent of the price of 2 nights in the hotel and room category of your choice.
Please note the special cancellation conditions of the hotels Hôtel de Paris, Hermitage and Monte Carlo Bay : 3 nights will be charged if you cancel after April 20, whatever the length of your booking.
COLLOQUIUM will do its best to allocate any cancelled room to another delegate to avoid unnecessary costs for you.
