SIGHTSEEING TOURS
The following tours are optional. They will leave from and return to the Fairmont Monte Carlo Hotel. The tour guides will speak English and French. As the number of participants for each tour is limited, early booking is advisable and the reservations will be taken on a first-come-first-served basis.
The tours will be cancelled by COLLOQUIUM if there is not a minimum number of participants. Should a participant decide to cancel his/her reservation, he/she must notify COLLOQUIUM in writing. Full refund will only be made if this cancellation has been notified before 15 May 2008.
Saint Tropez and Provence wines (full day)

It became famous as "St. Trop" when well-known celebrities from the show business and the cultural scene fell under the spell of this charming little port in the 1950's. Since then, St. Tropez has become the ‘in’ vacation spot for chic Parisians and the international Jet Set and its true nature can only be appreciated in the off-season months. June would be perfect for this.

Suspended above the sea, on the ‘Moyenne Corniche’ between Nice and Monaco, stands the world-famous Fragonard factory, renowned for its wonderful perfumes, soaps and cosmetics.

Les Gorges du Verdon (full day)

The deep cliff of the Gorges du Verdon is unique in Europe and is one of the greatest tourist attractions in Provence. This immense and magnificent canyon with its gigantic cliffs of calcareous rock is the result of the erosion of the Verdon river. In the midst of a nature reserve, rich in flora and fauna, the scenery is breathtaking.
In the morning, the tour takes you to the Gorges du Verdon via the towns of Grasse, Saint Vallier et Comps-sur-Artuby. Stops for panoramas and photos. Visit of the Sainte Croix lake, the largest of the Verdon lakes. Lunch in Moustiers Sainte Marie. Located at the entrance to the Verdon Canyons, Moustiers Ste. Marie is the leading production area in France of earthenware tiles. The site is exceptional and quite amazing. Moustiers is set in a semi-circle of rocky cliff at over 600 m altitude. Return to Monte Carlo via Aups and Draguignan.
