PALAU NACIONAL

The Palau Nacional is an imposing Neo-Baroque building that was erected on the occasion of the 1929 International Exhibition in Barcelona. The sprawling structure now houses the National Art Museum of Catalonia. The magnificent Oval Hall where the BIR Welcome Reception will take place was renovated in 1992 and opened in time for the summer Olympics, held in Barcelona that year.
All registered participants, guests and spouses are cordially invited to the BIR Welcome Reception (the participation is included in the registration fee). This evening has many surprises in store, including a stunning entertainment and plenty of delicious food (no need to book a restaurant afterwards).
