My favourite BIR memory is actually two moments that belong together. Monte Carlo in 2008 gave me unforgettable memories during BIR's 60th Anniversary, with outstanding networking, an incredible Gala Dinner and a truly unique atmosphere. Two years later, Istanbul showed how resilient our industry is. The financial crisis was behind us, business confidence had returned and the Welcome Evening at Çırağan Palace and the Young Traders event created memories that still make me smile. These moments perfectly capture what BIR is all about: bringing people together, building friendships and creating opportunities that last far beyond the Convention itself.
