Outstanding programme for long-awaited face-to-face meeting in Barcelona
Later this month, we will be meeting in Barcelona for what promises to be an outstanding BIR Convention, with an expected attendance of 900-plus participants. Being able to interact in person after more than two years of virtual meetings feels like a real privilege.
The Ferrous Division board has put together an exceptional programme, with high-profile speakers and updates on the international market situation. We have been very fortunate to secure the participation of Eric Niedziela, Vice President Climate Action at ArcelorMittal Europe, and EuRIC President Olivier François, who will be offering attendees an insight into crucial topics such as decarbonization of the steel industry and the effects of the EU Waste Shipment Regulation. There will also be the release of the 13th edition of our flagship statistics publication “World Steel Recycling in Figures”.
Along with the entire Ferrous Division board, I look forward to meeting with as many of you as possible in Barcelona, so please register for the Convention if you have not already done so.
