Pakistan

Pakistan is currently struggling with an economic crisis owing to the Central Bank’s lack of foreign reserves, leading to limited import business and therefore to shortages of all types of materials. Non-ferrous metals buyers in Pakistan are coming under further pressure on the domestic market as extreme weather conditions, including snowfalls, have significantly affected scrap availability.

Non-ferrous recyclers and smelters are also facing a lack of the gas and electricity needed to run their plants.

Markets may look promising overall but the supply-side crunch and the alarming foreign reserves situation will keep business activity low.
