BIR Young Traders Group elects new Chairman, Josh Brough of JBMI Group Ltd (GBR)

Josh Brough2024 2 croppedThe Bureau of International Recycling (BIR) is proud to announce the election of Josh Brough as the new Chairman of the Young Traders Group.

Josh Brough, Director of JBMI Group Ltd, has been actively involved in the recycling industry for 15 years. As a dedicated member of the Young Traders Group since his first BIR World Recycling Convention in 2014, Josh has seen the profound impact the group has had on his personal and professional development. Since October 2019, he has served as the group’s representative on the BIR Communications Committee.

In his new role, Josh will continue the hard work of his predecessors, focusing on supporting the next generation of recyclers. He is committed to expanding the group’s membership, encouraging participation in committee meetings, and showcasing the importance of the Young Traders Group for the future success of the global recycling industry.

"The Young Traders Group has been instrumental in shaping my career, and I look forward to helping others benefit in the same way. Our networking events and committee meetings offer unique opportunities to connect with industry leaders and peers from around the world," says Josh.

BIR President Susie Burrage OBE congratulated Josh on his appointment: "We are thrilled to welcome Josh as the new Chairman of the Young Traders Group. Susie also expressed her gratitude to Niels Keyaert, the outgoing Chairman of the Young Traders Group, who has stepped down due to increasing responsibilities within his company. "Niels has done a stellar job over the past five years, and we are immensely grateful for his dedication and leadership."

As the new Chairman, Josh aims to attract members aged 18-35 to BIR networking events, foster participation in committee activities, and emphasise the importance of the Young Traders Group in driving the recycling industry forward on a global scale.
