Tyres & Rubber Committee:
Beyond tyres: recycled rubber & recovered carbon black – shaping tomorrow’s ESG standards
The global tyre and rubber recycling industry is growing quickly, with an estimated 1.5 billion tyres reaching end-of-life each year. The market is projected to exceed USD 8 billion by 2032, with strong growth in reclaimed rubber for higher value uses. The Asia-Pacific region leads due to rapid vehicle growth and regulation, while Europe and North America advance through stricter policies and new technologies. However, as regulations tighten in the Asia-Pacific region, the need for new innovations that meet their sustainability requirements has grown.
In this context, the BIR Tyres & Rubber session under the chairmanship of Max Craipeau (Greencore Resources Limited, Hong Kong, CHN) will be spotlighting perspectives from Malaysia and Thailand on sustainable rubber, Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) practices and their evolving local regulatory landscape and markets.

The presentations will be followed by an interactive panel moderated by Max Craipeau involving the speakers and questions from the audience.
