BIR appoints Josephita Harry as new Chairwoman for its Electrics, Electronics and EV Batteries Committee
BIR has great pleasure in confirming the appointment of Josephita Harry as new Chairwoman of the Electrics, Electronics and EV Batteries Committee (formerly known as E-Scrap Committee).
Josephita currently holds the position of Vice-President of Sales in the Non-Ferrous division at long-standing BIR member Pan American Zinc, headquartered in Miami, Florida. She graduated from the University of Madras with a bachelor of engineering in electronics & instrumentation. She has over two decades of experience in international business with 10 years in the metal recycling industry. Josephita’s passion for recycling began with a school project in 1995 called “Clean Up India” with a focus on Recycling / Waste Management that led her to participate at the National level as a young child scientist. Today, Josephita oversees all non-ferrous trading for Pan American Zinc. She is currently also serving as vice-chair of ISRI’s trade committee, co-chair of the ISRI's women in recycling’s (WIR) Council and director-at-large in ISRI's South-east chapter.
