Barcelona and Dubai will host BIR 2022 Conventions – Dates for 2024 are now set!
Hot off the press! At the recent BIR Executive Committee meeting, BIR leadership approved the proposal of the organisation’s Convention Committee to host the 2022 BIR World Recycling Conventions in Barcelona and Dubai, respectively. While negotiations with various hotels are still under way, we herewith put our members’ minds at rest with regards to our next Convention destinations.
Just to remind you of the dates:
- 2022:
- (22) 23-25 May, Barcelona, Spain
- (16) 17-18 October, Dubai, UAE
- 2023:
- (21) 22-24 May
- (22) 23-24 October
In line with BIR’s commitment to its members to allow for long-term scheduling of its events, the BIR Executive Committee has also approved the dates for our 2024 World Recycling Conventions:

- (26) 27-29 May
- (27) 28-29 October
