Save the date for "The Challenge"!

“Summer time and the livin’ is easy” – Well, in the northern hemisphere at least, and maybe it’s something of a false narrative in the wake of this tumultuous pandemic period – but at least many will be enjoying a little well-deserved downtime.
Here, we at BIR in general, and not least The Challenge Team, are already focusing on the next semester.
The Challenge’s Three Amigos – Host Michael Lion, (ITC Chair), and resident co-anchor contributors Mark Sellier (Communications Chair) and Murat Bayram (Convention Chair) are setting up the fourth edition of this increasingly popular topical, cutting-edge show, which is entitled “Playback and pay it forward”, scheduled for Thursday, 9th September 2021.
As ever, the show will be crammed with up-to-the-minute immediately relevant content: including a reprise in a conversation between the three of them about current developments of those crucial issues addressed in our previous shows of the first half of the year, and emerging issues going forward.
In a guest segment, Dhawal Shah, newly appointed President of BIR’s Non-Ferrous Metals Division will join the Three Amigos for a conversation about his vision, plans and objectives for his Team’s Division in these exceptionally challenging times – it promises to be a highly engaging and enlightening discussion.
Further items are in the pipeline for the show – so watch this space….
As always, the show will be free registration for both BIR and non-members to ensure that our vital issues and messaging reaches all the stakeholders with whom our members interact or are impacted by across the broadest swathe of global recycling, commodities, finance and legislators to ensure they “get it” – in every sense of the word!
Meanwhile, “Here comes the sun”, and do mark September 9th in your diaries – see you there.
