Facts & Figures

The BIR Facts & Figures are a series of publications on of the most important recycling dataand statistics for certain commodities over the years.

Annual Reports

The BIR Annual Report provides an analytical backward glance at the elapsed year and gives an insight into BIR’s divisional structure and activities.

eBrief

The BIR eBrief gives a regular overview of BIR’s activities in order to keep membersinformed of the most important ongoing actions within the world recycling federation.

Young Trader Gazette

The BIR Young Traders Gazette is an initiative of the BIR Young Traders Committee and targets Young Executives from BIR member companies. Its aim is to convince the companies’ decision makers to increasingly involve younger employees in their activities within BIR and send them along to BIR World Recycling Conventions.

Convention Proceedings

The BIR Proceedings provide a wealth of economic and legislative information discussed during the different plenary sessions at each BIR World Recycling Convention. They constitute a valuable source of market data with forecasts that are very useful to recycling businesspeople. 
All the BIR Proceedings are available to download in English, French and German in the Members Only Area.

Tools & toolkits

The BIR Tools & Toolkits are a collection of practical tools thatprovide/assist parties and other stakeholders in the recovery and recycling sector (scrap collectors, sorters, processors and consumers) with concise guidance in ensuring environmentally sound management of hazardous and other wastes.

Posters

The BIR Posters illustrate in an easy-to-read format certain important processes pertaining to the recycling industry, such as the detection of unwanted radioactivity in scrap.

Videos

Over the years, BIR has produced a number of videos on the organization, recycling processes and conventions, illustrating important aspects of the multifaceted recycling industry.

BIR World Mirrors

The BIR World Mirrors are periodical commodity reports which provide BIR members with up-to-date international market information for Non-Ferrous Metals, Ferrous Metals, Paper, Stainless Steel & Special Alloys and Plastics.
The report on Non Ferrous Metals appears once every two months, whereas Ferrous Metals, Stainless Steel & Special Alloys, Paper and Plastics are published quarterly.
