The BIR Young Traders Group enjoyed an unforgettable evening of networking and celebration along Valencia’s beautiful Mediterranean coastline.
The event began with an exclusive catamaran cruise, offering the perfect opportunity for young professionals to connect while taking in spectacular views of the city skyline from the water. As the sun set over the Mediterranean, the evening continued at the vibrant Marina Beach Club, where delicious tapas, refreshing drinks and great music created the perfect atmosphere to relax and network.
The Convention also marked the first-ever Young Traders Committee Plenary Session, featuring presentations on the role of the London Metal Exchange (LME) and the opportunities that active involvement in BIR offers to young traders. Chairman Josh Brough, Director of JBMI Group Ltd (GBR), described the session as a “call to action” for young professionals to present, engage, learn and lead.
The Young Traders programme concluded with a fascinating site visit to Ferimet, a leading Spanish company specialising in iron recycling, giving participants the opportunity to gain first-hand insight into the company's operations and recycling processes.
